Dear Marko Koning,
Please take note that the Transnet Port Authorities only grant a 3 to 4-day window wherein they allow us to take the container into the port (before the vessel sails based on their appointed dates), called the stack dates. These dates stay estimated/provisional up until +/- 1 to 2 days before the actual 'opening stack date', whereby it then becomes firm/fixed, meaning it will no longer change, and we can bring the container in, but up until that point it could, and does, still change (sometimes by up to 3 weeks)..
We would therefore like to request that you please allow some flexibility as far as the schedule is concerned, as our planning is completely dependent on the above factor. Understand what’s next
