Please take note that the Transnet Port Authorities only grant a 3 to 4-day window wherein they allow us to take the container into the port (before the vessel sails based on their appointed dates), called the stack dates. These dates stay estimated/provisional up until +/- 1 to 2 days before the actual 'opening stack date', whereby it then becomes firm/fixed, meaning it will no longer change, and we can bring the container in, but up until that point it could, and does, still change (sometimes by up to 3 weeks)..
We would therefore like to request that you please allow some flexibility as far as the schedule is concerned, as our planning is completely dependent on the above factor. |
