Please note that terminal or port charges vary according to the steamship line chosen at origin and average between US$400.00 to US$600.00 per container. If sent via NVOCC, the rates vary between US$100.00 to over US$300.00, based on de-consolidator. If not prepaid, we will apply an advance and messenger fee of 15% or US$25.00, whichever is greater.

Any additional accessorial charges will be collected from customer at time of delivery unless otherwise stated in your instructions.
Note that on container shipment, the chassis provided by the steamship line or interchange agent may not be suitable for long distance road haulage. If container is not suitable for road use, please note that items will be transferred into an MMI truck and delivered from there. In most instances, we will contact the booker and client advising of same.

Rates also do not include insurance and are subject to the terms and conditions of our bill of lading (available upon request) or our agents. Should this specific quotation be accepted, please refer to our quote number on your pre-advice or our normal rates will be charged.
Please note that certain items are expressly forbidden or very difficult to import to the United States, such as drugs, explosives, ivory, weapons and plants. Also note that special documentation is needed for the importation of automobiles and liquor. Please advise if you need further information.
The following documents are needed for importation and can be found on our website at www.manageyourmove.net:
1) Ocean Bill of Lading or Air Way Bill completed as noted below under “Consignment Instructions”, please review carefully.
2) ORIGINAL US Department of Homeland Security Form US 3299 (Declaration for Free Entry of Unaccompanied Articles) signed in BLUE INK.
3) US 3299 Supplemental Declaration\
4) Copy of I-94 Visa Waiver allowing US entry,
5) ORIGINAL Power of Attorney signed in BLUE INK
6) Copy of passport with applicable visa allowing US entry
7) Detailed inventory in English.
Please allow an estimated 7 to 10 days for customs clearance and delivery.
ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE LEGIBLE AND PASSPORT COPY MUST BE PICTURE PERFECT.
Effective immediately, Air Waybills and Ocean Bills of Lading for shipments entering the United States are to be consigned to the property owner, NOT the Destination Agent (Move Management International).
