• Please give a brief description of the items, for example: furniture, books, clothing, crockery, etc., on the Bill of Lading(s), as “personal effects” is not accepted by Jamaica Customs.
• Please note that the consignee information should read name (as it appears in their passport) and residential address of the cargo owner, embassy, etc. Notify Party information should read Shore to Shore Van Lines only on the Master Bill of Lading.
• Jamaica Customs requires that All wooden packaging materials e.g. pallets/lift vans must be heat-treated &/or fumigated in accordance with international standards.
• A legible copy of the Preshipment Inspection (PSI) Certificate issued by Autoterminal Japan Limited (ATJ) must accompany the applications for importation of every used motor vehicle originating in Japan, Singapore, the United States of America (USA), the United Kingdom (UK) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). • You may find a list of items that require an import license/permit on https://www.jacustoms.gov.jm/. Please note that pool tables will require a permit also.
• Please advise in advance, if this consignee is a returning resident, expatriate, working immigrant, diplomat, etc., so that we can inform you of the necessary import procedures for his or her guidance and ease of entry. • All destination services and related charges must be paid prior to release and or delivery of cargo, transfer banking information is available upon request.

• Rates are quoted in USD.

 

Inclusions

• These rates include customs clearance of Household Items and or motor vehicle, normal port charges (wharfage, drayage, security & x-ray), transportation within Kingston (unless specified otherwise), unloading, unpacking of furniture, unpacking of breakables, unpacking of kitchenware to counter level, delivery up to second floor, basic set up of normal furniture (beds, tables, etc., no IKEA, no flat packed furniture or complicated assembly), return of empty container to port and same day removal of debris.

 

Exclusions

• These rates do not include THC, customs duties, customs administration fees, NVOCC charges, taxes, storage, detention deposit, difficult access to premises, shuttle service, heavy lifting (items >200 Lbs.), hoisting, assembly of new furniture, drilling, hanging of items, unpacking into cupboards, drawers, etc., carpentry, maid services, electrical, delivery to multiple address, delivery above 2nd floor, extra trip for removal of debris or overtime.
