•       Baggage – Based on delivery by one person, maximum 0.15m3/30kgs per item

•       Hand out of motor vehicles / motorbikes / boats / trailers etc at port of entry warehouse

•       Un-crating of up to 2 items - Allow additional NZD 50 for un-crating of each additional item

•       Return of empty shipping container to terminal

Movers

•       Demurrage and detention charges

•       Baggage – No furniture and no unpack/wrap

•       Payment of Customs Duties / GST (5% administration charge will be applicable on all payments to Customs by New Zealand Movers on behalf of the client) plus NZD 150 clearance processing fee

•       Deliveries on weekends, above first floor, apartments where lift access is required, shuttle vehicles and/or long carry. Parking fees

•       Special Services i.e., plumber, electrician, carpenter, handyman, valet unpack

•       Assembly of new / kit set / flat pack / IKEA / modular / gym equipment / complicated furniture items which cannot be assembled by our crew. Unpack of PBO/Owner packed cartons

•       Specialized handling of piano's / waterbed / safes / guns / ammunition / spa pools / engineering lathes / tools / gym equipment etc and any items weighing in excess of 150kgs 

•       For piano’s, pool tables, spa pools, safes and other oversize/heavy items, additional charges apply as below. Ground floor placement only with good access within 50 km radius of POE. Please check for delivery outside of POE radius)

•       Delivery to a 2nd or additional address or multiple deliveries to same address

•       Delivery to an island other than mainland North & South Islands

•       Motor vehicle compliance, registration, warrant of fitness, any on road costs or delivery to residence. Client to confirm that vehicle will meet New Zealand Compliance standards

•       Rates are based on same Island delivery and exclude any Inter-Island costs between North & South Island

•       GST charge of 15 % is applicable on any charges paid by the client to New Zealand Movers locally in New Zealand or if the goods are shipped on a collect basis wherein destination charges are to be collected from the client in New Zealand 

Important Notes 

Recently there has been a major emphasis on items of quarantine interest which are declared by shippers, but not clearly identifiable or not listed at all on the packing inventory. This makes it difficult to locate the items for inspection. In the event MPI requests a search to locate declared item(s) which are not clearly noted on the packing inventory there will be an additional fee of $90 per hour or part thereof applicable to locate these unlisted items.

PBO cartons or shipper owned containers may have heightened MPI inspection and resulting costs - these are not covered in the pricing above.

STRUCTURAL INSPECTION CHARGES FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

All motor vehicles and motorcycles are subject to a structural inspection by an independent organisation on behalf of the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). Please budget for the below additional charges.

Motor vehicle = NZD 340

Motorcycle = NZD 280

PORT SERVICE CHARGES / THC & AIRLINE DOCUMENT FEE

Destination rates do not include New Zealand port service charges / THC / Document Fees which must be added (if not prepaid). These are estimated charges and are subject to change and will be invoiced at actual cost plus a 15% admin fee. Port charges for shipments arriving through a NVOCC/LCL forwarder are considerably higher than charges received directly from the shipping line.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

All completed documentation is required a minimum of 5 days prior to shipments arriving in to New Zealand. Failure to provide this may incur additional charges for yourself or client.

•       Sea waybill / Bill of Lading / Air Waybill

•       Inventory in English. PBO/Packed by Owner, contents unknown and miscellaneous not accepted by MPI and Customs

•       Copy of shipper and any family member’s passport

•       Copy of relevant visas / permits (for immigrants)

•       Manifest with client details and billing instructions

•       Sea Container Quarantine Declaration (For FCL container shipments only) 

•       NZCS 218 Unaccompanied Personal Baggage Declaration 

•       NZCS 224 A Customs Number Application for an Individual Person 

•       FIDI New Zealand Customs Guidelines 

•       Any relevant approvals for prohibited / restricted goods, i.e. CITIES / Firearms permit

•       Copy of Prescription for any prescribed medications

•       List of alcohol / wine collections with evidence demonstrating that the alcohol / wine has been collected over a period and is of varying types

Motor Vehicles

•       Copy of Registration Certificate title and / or copy of de-registration certificate as applicable

•           Copy of purchase invoice

•       Copy of compliance certificate issued by the manufacturer of the car if applicable / required

•       Odometer reading, VIN or chassis number, engine size and country of manufacture

•       NZCS 224 A Customs Number Application for an Individual Person

For all containers which include vehicles, machinery and parts shipped from the below list of targeted risk countries:

(Any vessel that tranships or loads goods from these countries are also subject to heightened Vessel surveillance)

Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech

Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, United States of America. Japan (Heightened vessel surveillance will be the only measure applied)

All containerised cargo (including FCL/LCL/FAK/FCX shipments) and/or Breakbulk out of the above list of countries must be treated prior to arriving into New Zealand ports. Treatment in New Zealand will not be possible. Failure to meet the Import Health Standards will result in re-shipment or destruction of the sea container and cargo.

PAYMENT TERMS

We extend 30 days credit to all OMNI / FIDI members and approved trading partners. In all other cases prepayment is required by draft or TT prior to delivery, which will include a $ 50 bank wire fee.
