• Personal and legal assistance with customs legalities, documentation and procedures.
• Container delivery from Port of Guayaquil to quoted destination, as long as the container can arrive directly to the listed destination.
• Vehicle registration in SRI - Ecuador's Internal tax agency. Only after a vehicle is registered will customs clearance procedures begin.
• Offloading and delivery of vehicle with a tow truck at our warehouse.
• Unloading, placement and unpacking of household items, except PBO items.
• Assembly of all basic furniture.
• Removal of packing debris the same day of delivery.
• Return of empty container to Port of Guayaquil. 
• Official vehicle documentation required for vehicle’s registration, when we receive it.

 

*EXCLUDES:

 

• DTHC and Estimated Port Charges. For FCL shipments please consider US $2.200; For LCL shipments please consider for one Lift Van: US $1.150 to $1.500; for two Lift Vans: US $1.500 to $2.200
• Legal Affidavit (Sworn Statement). This is an essential document for customs clearance. Shipper can obtain it at the Ecuadorian consulate in the origin country, although we highly recommend to obtain it in Ecuador through our legal advisor. The cost is USD $150.
• Import taxes, fines, additional inspections in the port of Guayaquil, additional storage fees, demurrage and any additional port expenses.
• Reimbursable guarantee fee charge - Some shipping lines in Ecuador charge a reimbursable fee before allowing container pickup.  (The guarantee can vary from USD $1.000 to USD $7.000).
• Delivery in places with very difficult access conditions; above a second floor without access to an elevator or where exterior/interior hoisting is required.
• Translation of documents. For a special discount fee, we can translate your documents. 
• Vehicle’s delivery to client’s residence. If you prefer this service, please add USD $50.
• Shuttle service if required.
• Assembly of all complex furniture (IKEA type).
• Wall and ceiling fixations, as well as water, gas and electrical installations.
• Heavy items such as pianos, safes and antique furniture.

 

 

ESTIMATED PORT CHARGES IN ECUADOR

 

NORMAL PORT CHARGES: Local port charges, legal documents, customs clearance and NORMAL estimated storage fees. This estimate will only apply for shipments CLEARED in customs without any observations and under normal conditions. Does not cover any demurrage charges.

                   

 

Please note: Shipments coming via an NVOCC or Freight Forwarder will generate additional charges. 

 

* RESTRICTED/PROHIBITED ITEMS:

 

The following items have restricted access to Ecuador; so please consult with us before dispatching them: 

 

• ATV’s, motorcycles, manned lawn mowers, non-perishable foodstuffs, alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, televisions, perfumes, cosmetics, cell phones, smartphones, medicines and tools are all restricted.

 

The following items are prohibited in Ecuador: 

 

• Weapons, drugs, narcotics, pornography, vehicle spare parts, industrial machinery, spare parts for machinery, construction materials, building and remodeling materials, raw materials, live plants, flammable cleaning supplies, agricultural articles. Any appliance that doesn’t belong to a household environment must be consulted with us before shipping.

 

*PAYMENT POLICY: All charges must be paid when the shipment is consigned to our care and before arrival to Ecuador. Please include an additional USD $70 to cover international wire transfer fees.

 

*21 FREE DAYS AT DESTINATION: To reduce the risk of costly demurrage charges, please make sure SS LINE allows up to 21 free days at destination.
