a) English speaking supervisor

b) Supplying all packing and wrapping materials

c) Careful and professional packing of all items including furniture by trained packing crew

d) Packing inventory preparation at residence

e) Trucking all items from residence to warehouse

f) Normal Export customs clearance formalities (in Japan)

g) Pick up shipping container from port

h) Export loading into shipping container/lift-van by experienced personnel

i) Deliver loaded container to port

j) Sea/Air freight to destination terminal

k) Payment of destination port /terminal arrival charges

l) Import customs clearance (at destination)

m) Transportation to final residence/Warehouse handout

n) Unloading into residence, unpack to flat surface, reassembly of normal furniture packed at origin

o) Removal of debris on day of delivery.

p) 5 days free storage from pickup, thereafter as per storage rates indicated.

1. Additional costs incurred as a result of not having proper documentation prior to shipment departure/arrival.

2. Crating/Casing/Palletizing (unless indicated)

3. Customs X-Ray/Physical inspection fees, quarantine treatment charges, Destruction fees, Container washing fees (if directed by Quarantine officials) –actual costs, plus handling expenses if required.

4. Export/Import duties, taxes, customs fines or other levies.

5. Storage charges, and/or Demurrage/detention costs

6. Extra charges for Weekend/National Holiday/Out of normal business hours, or multiple pickups/deliveries.

7. Any unusual expenses needed to complete pick up or delivery (i.e. Shuttle service, Hoisting/lifting charges for heavy items such as pianos, pool tables, safes,)

8. Stair carry, long carry exceeding 30 meters.

9. Disassembly/reassembly of items requiring a specialist

10. Assembly of new or reassembly of flat pack or kit set furniture i.e. German Schranks, IKEA.

11. Disposal (Unless quoted)

12. Parking fees or permits

13. Bank remittance & receiving charge of JPY6,500 for international fund transfers.

14. Valet, maid, handyman or associated VIP services unless quoted.

EXPORTS ~Motor vehicles

Service is subject to:

Viewing vehicle registration documents, and receiving measurement from shipper.

Vehicle deregistered, with fire extinguishers, emergency flare(s) removed, theft alarms deactivated, fuel tank level less than 15%.

Vehicle must be self propelled (Excludes repair expenses to mobilize vehicle if required).

Domestic pick up of deregistered car using dealer plates and delivery to port warehouse/yard.

Excludes additional duties, levies, fees, handling charges in event of customs inspection.

Storage: Vehicles 1500 yen per day (First 5 days free)

Marine Insurance @ 1.5% of declared value (5,000 yen policy minimum) excluded. Vehicle condition report to be completed at time of uplift for insurance requirements.

Carrier space availability

Rates exclude destination storage, registration, roadworthiness, mechanical work, or delivery unless indicated.

*Notes:

1. It is prohibited to send items inside the car. Car must be in a bare state. Failure to provide car in a bare state to incur additional handling charge of JPY 45,000.

2. If via container: excludes special lashing requirements, or handling expenses in event volume exceeds container capacity.

Insurance

All risk Door -to- Door marine insurance for Air and Sea shipments: 1.5% of total declared insurance value. Basic insurance is mandatory (Minimum policy JPY5000).

1. A detailed, valued packing list inventory must be supplied

2. If sending air and sea shipments, 2 insurance policies are required.

3. USD100 deductible in event of claim.

4. Insurance of high value items such as artwork, antiques ~ prior approval from insurance company required before packing commences.

5. PBO (packed by owner) cartons are not covered by insurance!

6. If alternative insurance arrangements have been made, a disclaimer must be provided.
