Service is subject to:

Viewing vehicle registration documents, and receiving measurement from shipper.

Vehicle deregistered, with fire extinguishers, emergency flare(s) removed, theft alarms deactivated, fuel tank level less than 15%. 

Vehicle must be self propelled (Excludes repair expenses to mobilize vehicle if required).

Domestic pick up of deregistered car using dealer plates and delivery to port warehouse/yard.

Excludes additional duties, levies, fees, handling charges in event of customs inspection.

Storage: Vehicles 1500 yen per day (First 5 days free)

Marine Insurance @ 1.5% of declared value (5,000 yen policy minimum) excluded. Vehicle condition report to be completed at time of uplift for insurance requirements.

Carrier space availability

Rates exclude destination storage, registration, roadworthiness, mechanical work, or delivery unless indicated.

*Notes:

1.       It is prohibited to send items inside the car. Car must be in a bare state. Failure to provide car in a bare state to incur additional handling charge of JPY 45,000.

2.       If via container: excludes special lashing requirements, or handling expenses in event volume exceeds container capacity.

 Insurance

 All risk Door -to- Door marine insurance for Air and Sea shipments: 1.5% of total declared insurance value. Basic insurance is mandatory (Minimum policy JPY5000).

2.                      If sending air and sea shipments, 2 insurance policies are required.

3.                      USD100 deductible in event of claim.

4.                      Insurance of high value items such as artwork, antiques ~ prior approval from insurance company required before packing commences.

5.                      PBO (packed by owner) cartons are not covered by insurance!

6.                      If alternative insurance arrangements have been made, a disclaimer must be provided.

Payment terms: 

l             Company paid moves, purchase order must be in our possession 15 days prior to pickup/packing date together with accounting and contact person details. Unless company has previous trading history or separately agreed, the full invoice amount is due for payment prior to shipment departing from Japan.

l             Agent payment moves, this quote must be signed, dated and returned to our attention on the provided space on this quote (Page 1). Payment due before the shipment can be released form warehouse, and or before of release of the Bill of Lading and all other related documents; unless company has previous trading history or separately agreed upon terms of credit payment.

l             Private or self paid moves, unless separate arrangements have been agreed, 70% deposit of estimated total invoice is due immediately after estimate acceptance, and/or a minimum of 15 days prior to pickup/packing date. Final invoice balance (after deducting prepayments) is due prior to shipment departing from Japan. Final Invoice will be issued when official Weight and Measurements have been received and documents required for customs clearances are in hand.

Cancellation / Re-Scheduling charges

Cancellation         Less than 7 days before work due to start: 25% of estimated removal charge.

Rescheduling        Less than 7 days before work due to start: JPY50,000 for each change in schedule.
