IMPORTANT

To qualify for tax and duty-free import into Denmark,the following conditions must be met:

  1. The shipper must be registered as a live-in resident with the Danish authorities (Folkeregister) prior to the arrival and customs clearance of the household goods.
  2. The shipper must have been de-registered from Denmark/EU for a minimum of 12 months prior to the actual move to Denmark.
  3. The shipment must clear customs within 12 months from the date of registration with the Danish authorities.
  4. All household goods must have been owned and used for a minimum of 6 months.

Documents Required for Import to Denmark

  • Copy of passport
  • Completed and signed Import Statement (or Danish version: Erklæring om Flyttegods)
    • Please complete all sections (except “Information on property moved”) and date + sign both pages
  • Proof of registration with the Danish authorities:
    • Written confirmation from Borgerservice, Bopælsattest, or a printout of previous and current addresses from the CPR register (downloadable via Borger.dk)
  • Copy of Danish work/residence permit, Danish work contract, or Danish long-term lease / proof of property purchase
  • Proof of stay outside Denmark/EU for the past 12 months prior to registration:
    • Foreign long-term lease / property purchase / work contract
    • A few utility bills issued in your name and to your residential address outside Denmark/EU
  • Descriptive packing lists (Note: vague descriptions such as “PBO”, “misc” etc. are not accepted by Danish customs)
  • Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB) – provided by the removal company

Inclusions & Exclusions

Our Rate Includes:

  • Normal customs clearance
  • Collection of container/consignment from arrival port, terminal, or airport
  • Delivery to a single “normal access” residence
  • Professional unwrapping, uncrating, and placement of furniture
  • Reassembly of furniture that does not require specialist assembly or third-party tradespeople
    • Note: Any item requiring two or more people for over 30 minutes will be considered specialist assembly
  • Unpacking and placement of china, glassware, clothing, and other items onto a countertop, table, bed, or other flat surface in the room of the client’s choice
  • Removal of packing materials and debris at the time of delivery
  • Uncrating of up to 5 crates per shipment
  • Return of empty container to the arrival terminal
  • Delivery of upright piano to ground floor only

Our Rate Excludes

  • Customs duties, taxes, and other government charges payable on the consignment
  • Special customs examination requiring off-site inspection
  • Container/airline rent and demurrage
  • Second delivery point or access outside agreed specification
  • Storage rental and warehouse handling charges
  • Insurance
  • Steam cleaning, fumigation, or similar services if required
  • Terminal handling charges
  • Demurrage, port storage fees, or other costs arising due to circumstances beyond our control

Administrative Fee

If you request us to collect Terminal Handling Charges(THC) or any other fees from your client, an administration fee of EUR100.00 will be added to our invoice to you.

Normal Access Definition

Normal access is defined as:

  • A single mainland residence accessible via a direct road route.
  • The vehicle must be able to legally and safely access and park within 25 metres of the ground floor entrance to a house or apartment.
  • Collection and/or delivery must be possible through an unobstructed entrance, staircase, or elevator large enough to accommodate all goods.
  • Collection and/or delivery will take place on the ground floor or second floor (assuming the ground floor is considered the first floor).
  • Elevator use will incur an additional fee.
